Reno Nevada Temple
I finally figured out how to find the LDS temple in a strange city. Telephone the temple and ask for directions. That's what I did in Reno, and it worked. I would likely never have found it otherwise.
It seems strange to me that the LDS church doesn't allow its members to drink alcohol or gamble, but does allow them to run casinos and work in them. But, come to think of it, the church I was raised in (Church of God [no tongues, no snakes]) didn't allow drinking, either, but at one of the places we lived, some of the members grew hops to sell to breweries. I guess all churches allow some hypocrisy.
Here's downtown Reno as seen from the temple. It would have been prettier at night, but my night vision isn't very good so I don't drive in strange cities at night if I can help it.
