What first impressed me about this temple was how easy it was to find. I have been lost in every major city in North America and some in Europe, so I had every reason to believe I would get lost in LA. Actually, it was easy to get where I was going: Exit I-405 at Santa Monica Blvd., go east, there it is. Of course I was there on a holiday, which reduced traffic considerably.

The temple is very large -- the second largest of all the temples, befitting the fact that it is in a very large city. The setting is nice, with the appearance of the city being off in the distance. Actually, of course, the city is all around. The temple dates from 1956.

Sculptures similar to these adorn downtown Salt Lake City, as well as some of the other temples; I was pleasantly surprised to see them here.
