Two Woodland Trails

Bear Creek Greenway traverses several different types of landscape. There are wild areas, which have the feel of being out in the country. At some points the Greenway goes through urban parks, with picnic areas and other facilities; at one park there is a soccer field and swimming pool. At other spots you are almost in the middle of the business district. The Greenway is designed to connect southern Oregon communities— Ashland, Talent, Phoenix (some day), Medford, Central Point; it is linear.Bear Creek Greenway

Lithia Park Woodland Trail

[This site no longer available.] Lithia Park Woodland Trail is entirely within Lithia Park, in Ashland, Oregon. It is more or less circular, so that if you walk the whole trail, you end up almost where you began. Lithia Park Woodland Trail traverses a landscaped area; most of the trees and shrubs were planted, not wild. Most of the areas are well-tended; trees and shrubs from all over the world can be found on the Lithia Park Woodland Trail.

Each trail has its own type of beauty; each is enjoyable in its own way.
