The Bountiful Temple was dedicated in 1995. I first saw it as I was driving south on I-15 the night before Thanksgiving; I thought it was a huge Christmas tree. Unfortunately, I did not photograph it at that time.

The stones [in the third picture, which also appear on many, maybe all, of the temples] are chiseled in the shape of the sun, moon, and stars. "If one looks closely, one would find the sun stones at the top, moon stones below, and star stones on the bottom. These three styles of stones are symbolic of the three Kingdoms in LDS theology: the Celestial Kingdom (the sun), the Terestrial Kingdom (the moon), and the Telestial Kingdom (the stars). That is why there are sun, moon, and stars stones on the Temples."

The temple is situated high above Bountiful; you can see a bit of the Great Salt Lake in the background of the photo above. Bountiful is located just north of Salt Lake City.
