Lewis and Clark Trail Highway
On the Washington side of the Columbia River runs the Lewis and Clark Trail highway (SR14). Perhaps not as beautiful a highway as the Historic Columbia River Highway on the Oregon side, it still is much more scenic than the I-84 freeway, and well worth the little extra time it takes. The whole highway runs through beautiful country, clear from Vancouver at the western end to I-82 at the eastern end. As you come west from Cape Horn, if you look carefully through the trees, and if the weather permits, you can see Multnomah Falls across the river, several miles distant. And then a little further on, you might be able to see Latourell Falls. More to come.
