Some Evening Shots

After leaving Tad's, our first stop was Latourell Falls.

Latourell Falls through the trees in the evening

It definitely looks different late in the day than it does earlier.

Full length of the falls

Full length shot. Sure is pretty.

And here is the splash pool.

Next stop was Multnomah Falls. I've shot Multnomah Falls a hundred times, probably, but I had never seen it like this, with the alpenglow. It had never occurred to me that there would be alpenglow here. The cliffs are only a few hundred feet above sea level.

Horsetail Falls on a warm summer evening

Horsetail Falls on a warm summer evening. I had never seen it shaped that way. Usually it's roaring, shooting out from the wall.

Sunset on the Columbia

One the way back to Vancouver we could see the sun setting on the Columbia the whole way. What a beautiful evening.
