Bonneville Dam: Oregon Side

Southernmost of the three dams which make up Bonneville Dam

This is the southernmost of the three dams which make up Bonneville Dam; it is also the powerhouse, supplying relatively inexpensive electricity to the Pacific Northwest for 65 years or so now. Below is one of the old turbine blades which have been replaced with more modern ones.

At the Visitor Center you can see the fish ladder, and watch fish go by in a window.

Outside is a World War II pillbox, where soldiers stood guard over the dam.
