New Hampshire State House

New Hampshire State House

The New Hampshire State House, in Concord, has the distinction of being "the oldest State House in the nation in which the legislature still occupies its original chambers." It is certainly a nice building. Many years ago when I visited here, the door was locked (it was a Sunday). Just to impress the people I was with, I rang the doorbell. To my surprise, a guard came to the door and let us in, even showed us around. Now THAT'S New England hospitality!

The State House is located in a park-like setting right on the main street, which is nice. Easy to find.
