The Washington D.C. Temple
I revisited the Washington Temple on a beautiful morning in October 2003. I was impressed with the architecture and landscaping, and the photo possibilities.
The Washington D.C. Temple is the third largest of all the LDS temples. From the outside it doesn't have any visible windows; but from the inside, you can see that the windows are marble which is thin enough to be translucent.
I'll just put some more photos here without any particular comment.
I had never seen a plant like this one before. Those blue leaves are about 2 feet long.
Leaving the temple was fun. I had stayed the night before in Frederick, Maryland, and was headed for Fredericksburg, Virginia. I got my Fredericks mixed up and mistakenly took the exit for Frederick instead of Fredericksburg. It took me about an hour to rectify that mistake. Oh, well.
