Hamilton Mountain Loop:
Rodney Falls and Pool of the Winds,
and Hardy Falls

Rodney Falls and Pool of the Winds, between the falls, and Hardy Falls

The hike up Hamilton Mountain Loop (I only went as far as the falls) is steep but beautiful--then you come to the falls. Rodney Falls and Pool of the Winds, and Hardy Falls (all actually the same falls in my opinion) are breathtaking!

Hamilton Mountain: looks great from here. Before the summer of 2000 is over, I am going to make it to the top! I swear.

In June at least the wildflowers are magnificent. On the way down the trail I ran into several groups of youngsters identifying wildflowers. The kids were very helpful; their skills at identifying wildflowers were way more advanced than mine.

Achillea millefolium or Yarrow and Erigeron howellii or Howell's Daisy

Castilleja hispida or Harsh Paintbrush Githopsis specularioides or Common Blue Cup
